Storyteller and Comic Book Maker Gus Moystad – invited by Lawrence James Bailey who is currently showing his work in the gallery – will use the spoken word to produce a tour through real and imagined landscapes. From the pages of history books, literature, poetry and the recesses of his own mind he will guide an audience through an exploration of identity, urban gothic and the politics of place.

Gus Moystad (b. 1992 NO/NL) is an artist, writer and storyteller based in Amsterdam. He creates and (mostly) self-publishes comics, produces a bi-monthly (FREE!) cyberzine called Notes from Skemer, and regularly contributes to storytelling evenings at the cultural centre Mezrab. He is interested in- and inspired by politics, history, fantasy, utopia, bodies and identity. He is currently being instructed as printmaker and instructor at Grafisch Werkcentrum Amsterdam.
