We are very pleased to announce that we are a part of a ppr oc he. Galerie Bart will present the latest work of Marleen Sleeuwits at this French art fair.

a ppr oc he is an independent salon dedicated to the experimentation of the photographic medium, conceived as an exhibition, with a curatorial gaze and composed only of solo shows. Multidisciplinary artist Marleen Sleeuwits is one of the 16 artists, represented by 15 French and international galleries, that is selected for the fair. Marleen has a special eye for the alienating quality of seemingly nondescript, every-day-use spaces. Central to her work is the investigation of impersonal environments – places that could be anywhere and nowhere – such as vacant zones in airports, unoccupied corridors of hotels, and empty rooms in office buildnings. Gradually, Marleen’s art practice has developed from the gesture of photographing these areas, into the act of intervention. For a ppr oc he Marleen has created an in situ artwork.
